And why your life isn’t stuck… it’s being filtered
There comes a moment on the awakening path where something no longer fits.
Your life might look “fine” on the outside… but internally, there’s a quiet knowing: This isn’t it.
I've been in that place personally and I know how it feels to put so much time and effort into something and it just no longer fits. This is something I hear time and time again with the clients that work with me. Most people believe their path is blocked by circumstances - money, timing, relationships, opportunities, or even “bad luck.”
But what if your true timeline isn’t blocked by the outside world at all? What if it’s being filtered for you?
What Is a Distortion?
A distortion is what happens when your nervous system, past wounds, conditioning, or identity bends reality before you even respond to it.
It’s not that life is unclear, it is that your perception has been shaped by survival.
You’re not seeing what’s actually in front of you.
You’re seeing life through:
What hurt you
What you were taught
What felt unsafe
What you learned to avoid
And from that lens… you make decisions.
This is how timelines repeat.
Different people. Different environments. Same emotional patterns.
And until the distortion is seen, it continues to choose for you.
Awakening isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about becoming aware enough to see clearly.
The 13 Distortions That Quietly Block Your True Timeline
1. Fear Disguised as Intuition
Not every “no” you feel is true guidance; sometimes it’s your nervous system trying to protect an older version of you that once felt unsafe. When fear is leading, it often shows up as contraction, hesitation, or heaviness in the body. True intuition, on the other hand, carries a sense of clarity and quiet knowing, even if the path feels unfamiliar. Learning to recognize the difference is what allows you to move from protection into aligned action.
2. Comfort Disguised as Peace
Peace expands you into something deeper and more aligned, even if it feels unfamiliar at first, while comfort tends to keep you in what you already know. Comfort can feel safe because it’s predictable, but that same familiarity can quietly keep you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. True peace invites growth, not stagnation.
3. Attachment Disguised as Love
Love creates space for you to be fully yourself, without pressure, control, or the need to prove your worth. Attachment, on the other hand, often seeks control in order to feel safe, tightening its grip when uncertainty arises. When connection begins to require you to shrink, abandon your needs, or lose yourself to maintain it, it’s no longer love—it’s a pattern rooted in fear.
4. Ego Disguised as Confidence
Confidence is steady and grounded, coming from a deep sense of self that doesn’t need constant reinforcement. Ego, on the other hand, seeks to be seen, validated, and proven right, often performing to maintain a certain image. While confidence is embodied and quietly secure, ego is driven by external approval and the need to uphold identity.
5. Pain Disguised as Identity
You are not your story or the experiences that shaped you—you are the awareness that exists beyond them. While your past may have influenced how you see yourself and the world, it does not define who you are at your core. Healing begins the moment you stop identifying with the pain and start recognizing that it is something you’ve experienced, not something you are.
6. Repetition Disguised as Destiny
Patterns don’t repeat because they’re meant for you or because they define your destiny; they repeat because they are asking for your awareness. Each cycle is an invitation to see what hasn’t yet been acknowledged, understood, or healed. The moment you become conscious of the pattern is the moment you gain the power to choose differently.
7. Waiting Disguised as Divine Timing
Yes, divine timing exists, but there are moments when what feels like waiting is actually fear in disguise. The soul often carries a quiet knowing of the next step, while the body, shaped by past experiences, hesitates in an effort to stay safe. Learning to recognize this difference is what allows you to move forward with trust instead of staying stuck in delay.
8. Overthinking Disguised as Wisdom
The mind can analyze every possibility, turning things over again and again in search of certainty, but true clarity doesn’t come from thinking alone—it comes from movement. It’s through action that insight deepens and direction becomes clear. Wisdom isn’t found in endless mental loops; it’s revealed when you embody what you know and allow your actions to lead you forward.
9. Spiritual Bypassing Disguised as Enlightenment
You can’t “love and light” your way out of wounds that haven’t been faced, because bypassing pain doesn’t resolve it—it just buries it deeper. True healing asks you to feel what’s there, to sit with the discomfort, and to process what your body has been holding onto. It’s not about avoiding the hard parts; it’s about moving through them with awareness so they no longer control you.
10. Loyalty Disguised as Self-Betrayal
You were likely taught to stay, to fix, and to hold everything together, even when it came at a personal cost. But real loyalty should never require you to abandon yourself in the process. When you consistently override your needs, your truth, or your well-being to maintain connection, it isn’t love or strength—it’s self-abandonment. True loyalty includes self-respect.
11. Chaos Disguised as Passion
Intensity isn’t always a sign of deep connection; sometimes it’s your nervous system recognizing a familiar pattern of emotional instability. What feels exciting can actually be a reflection of past conditioning rather than true alignment. Peaceful love, by contrast, may feel unfamiliar at first, but that steadiness is what safety actually feels like.
12. Smallness Disguised as Humility
You were never meant to shrink yourself to be accepted or to make others comfortable. Dimming your light may feel like humility, but it often comes from a fear of being fully seen. True humility isn’t about hiding—it’s about allowing your gifts to be expressed in a way that serves something greater than your ego.
13. The Old Self Disguised as Safety
The version of you that learned to survive your past was necessary for that time, but it isn’t the version that will lead you into your future. What once kept you safe can quietly keep you limited if it’s never questioned. Growth asks you to honor who you’ve been while also being willing to release the identity that was built around survival, so you can step into who you’re becoming.
Why This Matters
Your true timeline is not something you “find.” It’s something that becomes visible when distortion is no longer leading your choices.
The door isn’t locked.
You’ve just been trying to open it with the version of you that was built to survive… not expand.
When the distortion clears:
Your decisions shift
Your energy changes
Your relationships evolve
Your path opens
Not because life changed… But because you did.
This Is the Work of Spiritual Awakening
Not bypassing.
Not performing.
Not becoming “better.”
But becoming honest enough to see clearly.
This is the work I guide women through every day, learning how to regulate the nervous system, release identity patterns,
and reconnect to their truth.
Because awareness alone doesn’t change your life... embodiment does.
Ready to Clear the Distortion?
If this resonates, it’s not random. It means you’re already becoming aware of what no longer fits. And that’s where everything begins.
At the end of this month, I’m co-hosting a powerful in-person experience in Kelowna: Awakening Within I May 30/31
This is not another surface-level workshop. This is a space for women who are ready to:
Release what’s been holding them back
Reconnect with their body and intuition
Understand their patterns at a deeper level
Feel grounded, supported, and seen
Step into their next chapter with clarity
Inside a beautiful nature-filled greenhouse, we’ll guide you through the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual layers of transformation. If your soul has been asking for more… this is your invitation to listen.
There are limited spots available as this is an intimate, high-touch experience.
