Consciousness & the Soul: A 9/9 Awakening

I have ben contemplating something recently.... No one hands us a map for how consciousness and the soul fit together.

I spent years chasing answers outside of myself... books, teachings, people I thought had it all figured out—only to realize the truth was already encoded within me. My soul had been whispering all along. Consciousness was just waiting for me to tune in.

The soul is your essence.
It is eternal. It carries your unique codes—your blueprint, your divine remembrance. It is the part of you that never changes, even when life falls apart, even when identities, careers, or relationships dissolve.

Consciousness, on the other hand, is awareness.
It’s how we perceive, how we grow, how we experience the world. Sometimes our consciousness contracts and we forget who we are—living in fear, reacting from old wounds, looping in survival mode. Other times, our consciousness expands and we remember—we feel the vastness of our soul, the oneness with everything, the light that moves through us.

The two cannot be separated. The soul is the flame. Consciousness is the light it casts into the world. One is essence; the other is experience.

And here’s where the magic of this month comes in…

The 9/9/9/9 Portal Energy

September is already a 9 energy month in a 9 energy year, with the 9/9/9/9 porthole on the 9th—a rare alignment that brings endings, completions, and soul-level closure. Adding the portal, and it feels like the Universe is saying: It’s time. Release what no longer aligns with your essence so your consciousness can expand into its next octave.

Nine teaches us that we cannot cling to what is ending. The lesson of 9 is surrender. It’s about trusting that when one door closes, another is waiting to open. The more we resist, the heavier it feels. The more we allow, the lighter we become, kind of like a balloon.

This month, you might notice parts of yourself asking to be shed—old patterns, outdated identities, relationships, or even beliefs about who you thought you had to be. These are the contractions of consciousness, the places where the flame of your soul is trying to burn away what no longer belongs.

My Journey with Soul & Consciousness

For me, the 9 energy has always been a mirror. Every time I cling to what’s gone, I dim my own light. Every time I resist change, I feel disconnected from my soul. But when I soften—when I let go—my consciousness expands. I see the perfection in the endings. I feel my soul leading me forward. I call it my butterfly moment, where I rebirth time and time again which is part of my souls journey and my card as the Ace of spades (the card of death, rebirth and transformation).

The 9/9/9/9 portal is asking all of us: Where are you ready to step out of the old self and into soul alignment?

For me, it’s been peeling back another layer of control and stepping even deeper into trust.

My soul knows the path.

My consciousness just needs to keep expanding so I can walk it.

An Invitation

This month, take time to sit with yourself. Ask:

• Where is my consciousness contracted in fear or old stories?

• Where is my soul whispering, let it go?

• What door am I willing to close so that a greater one can open?

As we move through this 9/9 energy, we’re being asked to release the old and realign with our soul’s blueprint. And here’s the truth: your soul didn’t come here without a map. It came encoded with guidance—the very codes you carry in your Destiny Cards.
